That’s impressive, although you can not do that on one of the new T series, it would break. Those old IBM thinkpads are rock solid.

On a side note, the new gen of thinkpads offers tremendous value for money, and are far better than any other consumer laptop, just competing with the elitebook line and the latitud line.

If you want something more rugger, look elsewhere.

Do you really buy a notebook for the “crash tests?
Toshiba gives you real after sale services that I never found on IBM or Hp or any other brand.
full support on drivers for variety of OS’s and not only the one came with the notebook.
And with a Toshiba you dont care if you break your notebook, the warranty covers damages made by the user and even replaces your notebook in case it get stolen (of cource it won’t get your data back :P)
Satellite beats any thinkpad or pavilion

The man on the far right is using a Z6x/p series, i know because of the brushed titanium cover, only available as an option on the Z6x/p series. Not sure what particular Z series it is however, i’m guessing a Z61p though because it looks like a 15.4″.

Totally agree. Bought a HP for 1000$ and it broke just a week after the warranty had expired. So sick of HP. I really say this from the bottom of my heart when I say that HP SUCKS!!!

lots of lamers here… actually lenovo made them t60s also, even tho they had ibm badges on them. and for example this lenovo x61 that i am writing from has been dropped from 1,5 meters, and i spilled half liter coke onto the keyboard, and its still in working order… so whats the deal? thinkpads pown

  11. jeffry7jordan says:

IBM is IBM, only Dell Latitunde can compare with this notebook. Other notebooks are for home using.

  12. hiromiao says:

that a t60 by lenovo. Everyone had their own opinions for my i had issues with ibm and none with lenovo but for my co-work it the other way around. And my IT department says it the same. lol

All i know is that my lenovo t60 from work is better than this crappy ass HP NC6220 i got a long time ago…….

  13. rius64 says:

It’s not a lenovo, is IBM!!!!!!!!!! it’s a big difference

  14. teacher0088 says:

That was an old thinkpad from ibm, not from lenovo. Besides, the x series were very weak . a drop like this or water spill could surely kill it.

  15. nnniniku says:

oh come on!!! dont be ridiculous!! thats hard enough to broke any laptop

  16. xitup1 says:

lol thats hilarious..and i don’t believe for one second that is a fake…mine had a whole bottle of water spilled in it and it worked like 2 hours later after some drying…then about a year later, it fell out of my bag while exiting the car and onto solid concrete and it was still ok…all scratched up and beat up looking but still working.

  17. awesome11991 says:

my dad was gonna buy one of these from a pawn shop for $42 but it had some weird shit going on when it was turned on =[

  18. nextexmex says:

yea that sucks about nenovo not making them nearly as strong – i just dropped my old x31 today and was sure the laptop is gone..
it dropped hard from chest height ( slipped out of my hand ) . but sure enough nothing happened – just all the dust came out of keyboard because of the shock :P – and even hard drive works fine.
should i “clean it “ more often ? lol

  19. grzebyks says:

its not a lenovo laptop. its an ibm ppc. since lenovo bought ibm pcs they are not so durable anymore

  20. blorgan901 says:

Thinkpads aren’t made to withstand things like this anymore…. such a shame.
